You know
where you slept
and
how you stayed warm
Trying not to take mountain biking, fishing or myself too seriously

Downright revolutionary.

Who knew that lined pants are the answer? I never realized that if I’m cold, I should keep my legs warm. I have been living by the old sailor’s adage: if your toes are cold, put on a hat. Instead on putting on a hat and vest, the heat generated from the legs moves upward (of course) and warms my core. Lined pants. Now I’m a believer.

It is a Mary Oliver night
The shrunken apples
on the tree
Are covered in fresh snow
I see snow blowing
Gently as I look out my window
Into the night.

Thanks for joining me!
